F. W. Taylor letter to Dr. James F. Harrison [manuscript], 1885 April 11.

Taylor, of the Sierra Mining Companies of Lake Valley, N. M., ships mineral specimens of desclosite crystal, vanadanite crystal, and chloride ore plus a stone axe "from mine of ancient tribe." An enclosure lists a collection found by Charles C. Bell in Upper Gila cave dwellings to be sent to the University of Virginia after close of the New Orleans Exposition and containing Palmilla leaf sandals, string covered with rabbit fur, head ring watercarriers and a piece of a petate.
